Wrongfully disabled accounts by Meta AI

I joined this group after all of my social media pages were permanently disabled in March of 2026. I received an email saying my instagram account representing my daughter was suspended. I was told it violated Terms of Use. This was an account my daughter did not have access to, it was registered to me, had parent managed/run in the page bio (as per instagrams terms) and was used to connect with and occasionally share photos with members of her dance team. I had that account for over a year but I had not posted on it for months.

The appeal only consisted of submitting an ID for verification. Within minutes I received a rejection notice with no other options. All pages that were linked were disabled permanently. This included my personal Facebook accounts I have had for over 20 years, family instagram page, and small business page. Everything taken away, no ability to contact a person for help.

It really is a sad thing to have a chunk of your life wiped away in an instant. I had years of memories stored on my Facebook. Conversations with people that are no longer here and photos that I have nowhere else. I rely on social media to run a small business and now I have lost access to many customers, a main source of advertising, and it will affect me financially. Also as a mom, I use these outlets daily to keep in contact with my children's school and activities. These places have all turned to platforms such as Facebook Messenger, Facebook, and Instagram to give out information. I now cannot access that information. I lost the community groups that I was part of that utilize these free platforms such as the dog rescue, and community service groups I volunteered at.

I have tried multiple outlets and spent countless hours trying to reach out to Meta Inc for help with these accounts. This has included. sending emails, a physical letter via Certified mail, a letter to the state Attorney General, a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission, I also tried using their online AI support to direct me to someone useful, I am now writing my state senators. I have not gotten any response from Meta Inc.

Meta really should reach out because no one deserves to have this happen to them simply because of AI and lack of support. It is awful.
