Today, we crossed over forty seven thousand supporters. Thank you to everyone who has signed, shared, and stood beside this movement. Together, we are confronting an issue that affects people’s rights in the modern digital age, where our communities, businesses, relationships, and identities exist online.
When platforms control access to those spaces, their decisions directly impact real lives. As international coverage continues to grow, the world is watching how large platforms operate and how their internal systems affect everyday people.
People deserve clear answers when their digital identity, income, or safety is at stake.

The Growing Crisis Around People’s Rights Online
Regulatory Attention on Transparency and User Rights
According to reporting from the Associated Press, the European Commission released preliminary findings suggesting that Meta and TikTok may have breached transparency requirements under the Digital Services Act. Regulators highlighted concerns that internal complaint systems may not allow users to effectively challenge moderation decisions, while emphasizing the importance of independent researcher access to platform data.
When appeal systems fail, people lose more than access. They lose opportunity, identity, and community.
The Guardian reported that EU officials expressed concerns regarding how users flag content and appeal moderation outcomes. Investigators stated that internal systems should be accessible, clear, and supportive of fair review. These findings are preliminary, and Meta will have an opportunity to respond.
Silicon Republic noted that researchers continue to face restrictions when requesting public platform data, which is necessary for independent study and accountability.
Global Expansion of Platform Infrastructure
In the United States, Meta announced a joint venture with funds managed by Blue Owl Capital to develop a new data center campus in Louisiana. According to company press materials, this initiative will support artificial intelligence and data processing capabilities.
Infrastructure growth increases influence
As digital infrastructure expands, responsibility must expand with it.
Internationally, Meta and Reliance Industries announced a Rs 855 crore joint venture focused on enterprise artificial intelligence services in India. Reporting notes that the partnership will distribute AI tools to businesses throughout the region.
Industry Discussions Around Workforce Changes
Simply Wall St reported that Meta has reduced staffing in certain AI divisions, prompting industry discussions about efficiency, prioritization, and development strategy.
Financial outlets including Investopedia stated that Meta is preparing to report quarterly earnings. Analysts are expected to evaluate how infrastructure investments are balanced against operational efficiency.
Why This Matters for People’s Rights
While none of these developments directly relate to this petition, they reflect how rapidly platforms are evolving, expanding, and influencing critical digital infrastructure. As this influence grows, so does the importance of fair complaint systems, transparent processes, and accessible dispute resolution.
When platforms get it wrong, it is not just data at risk.
It is income, stability, mental health, and reputation.
Real people are affected
More than forty seven thousand individuals have shared their stories. Many describe sudden account loss, emotional distress, business disruption, reputational damage, and difficulty reaching human support.
These are not just digital inconveniences. They are real world consequences affecting everyday people.
No one should lose their voice because of automated systems.
People Over Platforms Worldwide will continue advocating for transparency, accountability, and systems that prioritize individuals rather than automation or closed support channels.
Thousands stand with you. Your voice matters.

It is my opinion that Facebook/Meta has defunded their Human Support staff and embezzled those funds into the acceleration of Artificial Intelligence Moderation that produces Defective results, ruining lives in a myriad of ways.
I have had 10 Artificial Intelligence generated violations REVERSED on APPEAL.
The problem is my Facebook History does not effectively and instantly show my Defective Violations being REVERSED on APPEAL.
In the image below, every one of these 8 DEFECTIVE Artificial Intelligence violations, were REVERSED on APPEAL by Human oversight.
The problem becomes overworked, understaffed Human Support may not even bother to individually click on each alleged spam report to see that it was reversed on appeal.
To the right of the Spam history Information there…
I've been supporting this petition by sharing the link https://www.change.org/p/meta-wrongfully-disabling-accounts-with-no-human-customer-supportseveral dozen times on LinkedIn. I have my own Petition on a different topic, and have found a shockingly small percentage stay tuned in after they sign a petition. If every signer shares this petition just a couple of times, the petition will remain in the public eye. Bookmarking the Petition link allows one to see the growth of the Petition over time.
