I tried contacting them several emails sent EVERY day for 4 months, along with proof that I was at work whenmy account was "hacked" I even downloaded my information, and in the 'last log-in" was in a state that I do NOT live in. I tried to explain this, even senet a copy of their own long in report, and I either got no reply, or the reply stated they were short handed, and to try againat a later time. ALL fell on death ears.
I'm trying to figure out how your short handed, when they should KNOW people are going to respond, and they took no measures to insure we were ALL heard

my instagram account was disabled by mistake on september 13th 2021 i did nothing wrong to violate community guidelines or terms of use cause they think that app i used called unfollowers for instagram thought as a spam. i submitted the appeal many times i didn't work cause i didn't make the photo of myself holding the white paper with my name, the code and my username as a jpeg file then it tell me to request a review which i don't know. now in 2022 i submitted the appeal four times but still don't work so i decided to give up and it's over. it's been four times that my instagram account is disabled, i tried so hard to get it back and it's not fair that leaves me hurted, sad and unjusted... THAT HAS TO BE STOPPED

"My account was initially suspended, after which I promptly submitted an appeal and provided valid identification as requested. Shortly thereafter, my account was restored, and I received confirmation that it did not violate Instagram’s Community Guidelines. However, within hours of that restoration, my account was suspended again for the same alleged violation. I submitted a second appeal, again providing identification, and was then informed that my account does violate the guidelines. This directly contradicts the prior determination and indicates a clear error or inconsistency in the review process."

"As an artist who's been using Instagram many years as it's platform. It's unfathomable how many times I've been falsely suspended for just posting my art, I once lost my first account and an alternative one I had for many years one day, for similar reasons. They first accused me of "Child Exploitation Violations," promptly suspending said accounts right then and there. I tried to appeal a ton of times, even demanding what posts in particular warranted this accusation and suspension? Their response? Nothing.. After I had moved on from it, they decided out of the blue to reinstate those two accounts, after I had already accepted it's loss.. After countless appeal attempts and contact with Meta, they were completely unhelpful with their responses, showing that they don't care about my appeals whatsoever. Taking the longest time possible to fix things up.. So now some time has passed by, I set up a new account, everything went smoothly for nearly a year, until yet again, another false suspension.. But this time they gave no direct reasoning, they only claimed that I "violated their community guidelines." After speaking to a "Ai Assistant" in their website through a chat, they didn't offer much help whatsoever as well, only repeating the same nonsense they had already given me before. Not too long after my account was suspended, my old alternative account also got taken down! They're literally targeting me for no reason at all. They conveniently did this after I said some pretty vocal things about their "witch hunt" style of flagging and suspending other people's accounts to a friend of mine.. Nonetheless, I wish to sign this petition so that I and others can have a voice on Meta's poor handling of suspensions and improper suspensions and post flagging. Enough is enough, I am tired of rebuilding my name, I'm tired of Meta's incompetence."

There were no specific details provided, no accessible support channels, and no realistic opportunity to recover years of personal data. This includes a significant history of conversations, family connections, and shared memories that are now effectively inaccessible, with no clear explanation of what policy was allegedly violated. What is especially concerning is that this restriction extends across the broader Meta ecosystem, impacting services such as Messenger and WhatsApp, which many individuals and communities rely on as their primary communication tools. As a result, these enforcement actions do not just affect a single social media account—they disrupt essential lines of communication for both personal relationships and community or business coordination. Increasingly, it appears that erroneous or automated enforcement actions are affecting a growing number of users, leaving many without clarity, recourse, or access to human support when these systems fail."

"I have had instagram and facebook since 2015 approximately, and no problems whatsoever with my accounts. It was a great app to share events and photos with family and friends including family overseas. I have now had two accounts on Instagram deleted and facebook account suspended randomly for breaching community standards which I have not done. My second instagram account only had my profile picture and no photos or posts as it was still new. No appeal process to speak of, no evidence or explanation from META and AI bot chat is the only communication with META. I am not sure why accounts were deleted or if I was hacked and no accountability or explanation from META. This all started with AI. This is affecting lots of users on their platforms not only individuals who lose access to photos and memories but also business owners who are suffering. This is highly distressing for those who have lost their accounts both individuals and business owners. META need to held accountable and have better support available and stop deleting innocent peoples accounts."

I am now unable to reach out to friends, vacation pages, photos or other various items that Facebook accesses. Where is the support? These platforms have been my canvas, a space where I can showcase my artwork for everyone to see and hopefully inspire others. "I have been running my Instagram account for over a year, investing a tremendous amount of time, effort, and passion into it. I carefully created every photo, worked on the quality and style of my content, and truly loved the process. During this time, I was able to grow my audience to over 500,000 followers, which I was incredibly proud of. However, about a week and a half ago, my account was wrongfully disabled without any clear explanation. Even more concerning, the system shows an incorrect disable date - July of last year - which does not reflect reality. I submitted an appeal, but it was reviewed automatically and ultimately resulted in the permanent disablement of my account. There is no way to reach real support - no responses, no opportunity to explain the situation, and no chance to recover access or even receive a proper explanation. This kind of treatment from Meta is unacceptable. People invest years of their lives into building their accounts, businesses, careers, and personal brands. Wrongful bans without transparency, without human review, and without any recovery options are a serious issue affecting thousands of users. I urge Meta to address this problem by implementing: • real human support • a transparent and fair appeal process • the ability to restore accounts in cases of wrongful disablement No one should lose the results of their hard work because of system errors."

"I registered on Facebook in 2011. Since then, my email address has never changed. In 2017, I added a phone number, and it has also never changed. I grow flowers and have only posted photos of flowers. I had around 6,000 followers on Facebook and about 10,000 on Instagram. On the morning of April 1, 2026, I was messaging on Messenger when a notification appeared saying there was “suspicious activity in the account” and asking me to confirm that I am a real person. I agreed, and after completing a video selfie, my account was suspended. I simply could not believe what was happening; I thought it might be an April Fools’ joke. But it wasn’t. I received an email stating: “Your Facebook account has been suspended. This is because your account or activity on your account does not comply with our Community Standards regarding account integrity. If you believe your account was suspended by mistake, you have 180 days to appeal our decision. If you miss this deadline, your account will be permanently disabled.” I clicked the appeal button and the system requested my ID. I submitted it. And that was the end of my accounts. Facebook was suspended, and then my Instagram was also suspended for no reason, because they were linked through Accounts Center. There is no appeal button available anymore. It is terrifying. I sent several support requests, but received no response. Is it really possible to erase 14 years of life on social media because of AI glitches? I am confused and overwhelmed. I lost access to friends, clients, and memories. I lost 14 years of my life."

"Business Facebook and Instagram account was wrongfully deleted with no way of contacting any support. An email was received that we had 30 days to appeal the decision, didn't even explain what terms and conditions the account was violating, within two hours another email was received that the appeal was denied and the accounts were deleted but we never even submitted an appeal. "My main account got suspended numerous times (over 7) in the course of a month, sometimes 3 times in the same day, over being flagged as a bot by Instagram's AI system. Then my art account was banned, losing contact to many of my mutuals, because Instagram thought that I was evading the rules! Then my main account got banned. I cannot begin to describe how much distress this has caused me--and frustration because Meta doesn't have any human support for these issues. Stop using AI for moderation! Start hiring real people!"

"I have so many family pictures and messages I would love to resume access to. Being wrongfully suspended/closed off my account without being able to speak to a representative is unfair to the community that helped bring this platform up to where it stands now. I have had my accounts for since high school, I’m currently 29 years old and all my memories and family access are through those apps. This isn’t only frustrating, but emotionally damaging, hence the fact I can no longer see how my family is doing from afar. I have appealed on 04/24/25, yet it states that I appealed on 04/25/25 for some reason. Same with the ban, even though I lost access a day earlier than what is documented. I hope this could be resolved. We need a voice."

"My daughter’s gymnastics Instagram, which she used for athlete promotion and potential college recruitment, was falsely flagged for “child exploitation,” even though I managed the account as her parent to monitor content and messages responsibly. As a result, Meta deleted not only her account, but also my personal Instagram and Facebook account I’ve had for nearly 20 years—without warning, meaningful explanation, or real opportunity for human review. Along with losing my daughter’s recruiting platform, I lost decades of family photos, videos, and memories, many of them irreplaceable. One erroneous automated decision wiped out years of personal history and disconnected us from communities and communication channels we rely on. This is not just about one mistaken ban—it’s about the lack of due process, the harm caused by unchecked AI moderation, and the devastating consequences when accounts across all Meta platforms are disabled at once. Families, small businesses, athletes, and ordinary users deserve human review, transparency, and a real path to appeal before losing everything."

"My Account of nearly 10 years was falsely suspended Midway through April with absolutely no warning or consideration on behalf of Meta or Facebook, I had my future Career dedicated to Instagram and Meta as my account of over 3K followers was supposed to be my advertisement for my brand, I started my account back when I was 11 and I’ve invested my life’s work into my page and gained popularity better the years of 2018-2020 and I was planning one of the biggest reveals I’ve ever made until my account told me I was banned for exploitation despite having more than enough proof of my innocence. Instagram denied my appeal with absolutely no good explanation other than they determined my account to have violated terms and services (they never actually investigated as it was only 1 minute after I sent the appeal) I better either get my account back, or all the money I could’ve earned from me putting in my literal life’s work into!"

"My Instagram account, @ladyybeeee, was recently disabled, and I’m still unsure of the reason why. I’ve had this page for many years, and for the past three years, I’ve used it to advocate for childhood cancer awareness and to share my journey through grief after losing my daughter last year. This account holds years’ worth of photos and videos of both my daughters—memories that are deeply meaningful to me. I kindly ask for your assistance in reactivating my account so I can regain access to these memories. I submitted an appeal on October 5th but have not yet received a response. My Facebook account was also disabled, but it was reinstated two days later with an apology from Meta for the mistake. However, I haven’t heard back yet about my Instagram account."
