"I was wrongfully suspended on Facebook over a month ago. Its ridiculous to think my account may be permanently disabled because no human was able to review the mistake done by artificial intelligence. There's no customer support and FB has 0 accountability. I have memories, poems, friends, and groups on FB. I cant access any of it. And I did absolutely nothing to be suspended. I posted some pictures of birds while I was out on my morning run. I posted a video of me at work. Those were my last posts before the suspension. I got an email almost 20 days after I appealed saying I only have so many days to submit an appeal. I submitted it but im not sure FB knows I did. Even though every time I open the app it says I submitted my appeal on Oct 29th. The Emails I got from FB after just make things more unclear whats going on. I got one email saying after doing the photo verification my account should be reinstated within a day. That did not happen. I have another saying it was possibly suspended for not following the advertising rules and regulations. However I dont advertise on FB. Nothing makes sense. Its a huge mess and they need to be accountable. This is ridiculous. This is what the future looks like when its ran by bots. Chaos. Reinstate our accounts already."

"While I fully understand and respect the need for Community Standards to keep Instagram safe, I am incredibly frustrated and angry by this decision because it is completely unfounded. I literally just created the account ebkriskymelz, stunnavvgirl,kynfunx, meaning I haven't even had the opportunity to post content or engage in behavior that could violate your policies. To be permanently banned and accused of breaking rules on a brand-new, inactive account is clearly a mistake on the part of your automated system. I did absolutely nothing to warrant this, and I demand a proper human review to correct this error and restore my access immediately. I just think drive banding people after accusing them of doing stuff wrongfully it’s just so weird not right at all. Some people actually use this app to get away from stress or make money. They need to get their act together and give everybody their account back."

"I had my Facebook account for over 10 years. Never had a problem. I only posted celebrations and achievements. On December 8th, 2025, my account got permanently suspended. I appealed right away but not 5 minutes later my account was gone. Later that evening I tried to find to contact information for support but end short. Lucky I still had X(formally Twitter), so I reach out to them. 26 hours later (12/9) haven’t anything. I made a new account the same day (12/8). This morning (12/9) my new account was suspended. Again I tried to appeal it and 30 seconds later I got permanently suspended. At this point I don’t want to make another Facebook account and to this all over again. One last thing, my Instagram account where all my friends still have me and all my past post was also suspended. There’s photos and videos I will never get back because I never saved my on to my phone. Post that me and partner made are gone. I hope I can my account back but high doubt it."

"I've had facebook since probably before 09. I have plenty of shared memories with friends and family. Some I come back to every year due to a friend that passed away that everyone comemnts on every year, memories of a passed relative and friendships. Things I will cherish forever. A little over a month ago, my account was suspended for not following community guidelines. I appealed and it was instantly permanently delete. No questions asked, probably had a 3 second delay between the appeal and the email that i got. So I knew it was an AI, not someone actually reviewing my account. I accepted that I needed to start over and let bygones be bygones. So i created a new account. Over a month goes by as im adding all of my friends and family again, and without posting or doing much, I was then suspended again for creating a new account. I'm honestly getting sick of this! As much as I want to use instagram to share, create, explore, and just to use. I honestly cannot anymore. If i get my account back, great but when will it be suspended again? i hope they fix this. If i get my original account back, that would be sweet! But i doubt it. my new account that I have now that was recently suspended will just be an account for communication now. A shame how much I relied Instagram to get a gratification on content and to share with friends. Anyways. I hope the many that also lost 20+ years of memories and photos and history will find peace soon. So sad what META has turned into."

"I've been banned from Facebook 4 times, and 3 times reinstated. The first time an innocent remark of mine was misconstrued by the AI. I was discussing with a friend his plumbing problems, and I suggested that the landlord might have "cut corners"by hooking up the pipes in a out-of-code manner. I used the phrase "illegal hookup," which was misinterpretated by AI as a reference to sexual misbehavior! Once I'd clarified the rather amusing mistake, I got my account back. But then came a second blocking, when Facebook accused me of "violating their courtesy laws. " In actual fact I'd done nothing of the sort. I'd been discussing a soap opera (GH) with other fans, the topic being a certain villainous character that we all loved to hate. I said nothing unkind or discourteous to any of the other users nor did I bad-mouth the actor playing this role. I merely agreed with the prevailing opinion that "Drew Cain" was a bad guy! Again I appealed to Facebook, explaining that I was talking about a make-believe character in a TV show, and I got my account reinstated. But then--you guessed it!---I was blocked a third time, with Facebook accusing me of being a bot. To vindicate myself I sent them a current photo i.d. establishing my credentials as a real, live human being, and again, Facebook reinstated me. But now for the FOURTH TIME I've been blocked, with no reason given and no way to appeal. This situation would be annoying if it weren't so downright ridiculous! I suggest that we mail our grievances to Meta, Facebook's parent company. The address is:Meta Headquarters, Corporate Office, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025. People are being blocked for no reason and are losing access to other marketplaces, notably Amazon.com which Meta also owns, and this kind of mismanagement can't be good for business."

"I am 41, I had my account since 2004, and suddenly I'm locked out being told I am underage and too young to be using Facebook. There is no way to appeal or submit photo ID which I would gladly do. It's absurd. I'm shocked to see so many people with similar stories to mine. Meta deserves a massive class action, and any bans done under AI should be reversed. Only human beings should be able to permanently ban accounts - let AI do suspensions, fine, but perma-bans? These are peoples' lives."

"Disappointing that before thanksgiving and again at Christmas time first Instagram then Facebook were suspended with no real reason given as to why. Then being asked to show your face and send the video and then to upload religious documentation and or birth certificates etc is absolutely absurd. They have no person to reach out to you. My son wanted a Meta VR for Christmas but now absolutely not. Both accounts were over 10 years old. Also I’ve seen such filth on the sites even when asking not to see F bombs in my feed. Suddenly there were triple the amount as usual. There is nothing I could have added or said that would compare in any way."

"My Facebook account was hacked on 12/5/2025 then permanently disabled on 12/8/2025 unbeknownst to me since the hacker changed my forwarding emails setting. By the time I found out it was too late. I have requested an appeal, did the selfie and ID verification and still got deleted within a matter of minutes. I have been dealing with this same issue since June 2025. I have been building a brand for 5 years and people recognize my brand. I haven't posted anything regarding child sexual exploitation nor do I support nor condone such heinous activities as I photograph children and teenagers with parent consent. This severely impacts my business as I cannot get into contact with clients or generate revenue for my business."

"I had my Instagram account since 2019. Over the years, it became a space of collecting memories & staying connected with friends. April 2025, I deactivated the account for privacy and mental health reasons, something I believed was supported by the platform. Despite this, my account was deleted without any warning, email, or chance to appeal. I hadn’t violated any rules. I simply needed a break. Instead of being respected for protecting my mental health, I was deleted. Instagram needs to be more transparent and humane in how it handles user accounts. No one should lose years of their digital life without explanation or recourse. And why does this platform offer no customer service? The help center is functionally useless. I’m hearing the platform recently overhauled their operations to Meta AI. Now what did we learn here after making such a move: Mass deletion of innocent accounts and no way to obtain your data after the fact. This completely unacceptable."

However in July, I decided to sign up to list something on FB Marketplace—without intent to engage any further. I signed up with my personal email and was asked to scan my face for biometric verification. "My Facebook account was suspended in December 2023 because they said there was an account linked to it on Instagram that was inappropriate and that I needed to remove the link between Facebook and instagram. I don’t have an Instagram account so how can I remove the link. I emailed customer support several times and never received a response. "My Facebook account, which I had since 2009, was deleted due to account integrity issues. Facebook believes I'm not a real person and has given me no opportunity to appeal. Thousands of emails have been rejected, and forms keep showing errors. I'm a content creator since 2023 with a monetized account and 180k followers, but I never paid for Meta verification, and because I refused to do so, I was banned from the platform. My Instagram account has also been affected. Facebook represented a second income for me, and in addition to this, I have over 16 years of memories stored there. I'm currently 29 years old and I'm a person without a digital identity. Facebook and Instagram don't allow me to create new accounts because my name is on the ban list; even with different spelling, they keep taking down my accounts because the Meta technology. This is incredibly frustrating, and I admit I've been going through a period of depression since the platform's earnings represented at least 50% of my monthly income, not to mention all the memories that they don't allow you to download from your security settings. I never imagined losing my Facebook account and with it, a part of my identity. I lost many close friends during COVID, and all their memories remained on that platform. My childhood, adolescence, and professional growth are now in limbo, not to mention that the payments I had pending will never be processed due to "account security" reasons."

"My Autistic adult son used Instagram and Facebook as way of communicating with others like him with shared interests. He also used the platforms to promote his blues clues recreations and was followed by Josh Delacruz (blues clues host), Tracy page Johnson (show creator), Dave Palmer (show animator), Nick Jr., and some of the voice actors. I took him to different comic cons where he meet many of them in person and they followed his pages. Meta shut his account down with a very serious allegation of sexual exploitation of children. We immediately appealed it and within 20 minutes had a response that his account was reviewed and went against community standards. Clearly AI reviewed it and not a human which then made it clear he was never getting his account back. Wirh no way to get ahold of a real person to review the mistake the AI made. This has caused him to lose all meaningful connections with his idols, friends, and supportive community. Being Autistic he has no one in our local community that has ever taken interest in him and what he loves. He only has family and feels very lonely. I am disgusted that Metas practices have not only labeled him as a predator but also made him lose all meaningful connections outside of our home. They need to be held accountable for destroying my son's name and mental health with such a disgusting accusation. That is something that could cause huge legal trouble if it were true and I do not take it kindly that they have done this to so many people. I understand the public does not know the reason meta flagged the account for but he knows and it is completely inexcusable for him to have to think a company thanks that of him."

"My meta accounts were suspended after I posted a photo of my high school daughter and her homecoming date from the waist up, wearing school appropriate attire (her in a dress with a square neckline and him in a suit). There was also a photo of my daughter, her friends, and their dates - all wearing dresses and suits which are school appropriate - posing in the typical fashion in a parent’s living room. These same photos were shared by other users, but only I was falsely accused of child exploitation/nudity. Either their AI flagged it mistakenly or someone submitted a bogus report. I understand they are trying to keep the internet safe and mistakes will be made BUT they said it usually takes “just over a day” to review. It’s been longer than that. I emailed Instagram to ask how much longer it will take and they have not yet responded. I supervise my teen’s Instagram account and I’m unable to do that because I can’t access my account. They need to hire enough staff to review reports promptly and to respond in a timely manner to requests for support. This is completely unacceptable."

"I had a Instagram account. I had three of them. All of them has been suspended since October 11 on November 7 or 11th I have not seen my account since last two months and it’s unfair to the people that did not actually do anything and they’re investigating your information for no reason we have no consent to this, we made up on Instagram, I don’t have any updates on my account. I have not heard since from none of my accounts and they still have my accounts hostage that is unfair to the people that have not did anything and they’re still searching through my information without my consent. "My Instagram account was disabled even after providing my license proving my age, this then led to all my linked accounts, specifically my Facebook account that I’ve had since 2008. With no support at meta and AI solely making erroneous decisions, there is no remedy in sight. I see people looking desperately on x and TikTok for help only to be met with scammers looking for money and not restoring their accounts. Meta…DO BETTER! Add a human support system/ review. "I was suspended from FB on Nov.22nd and have no idea why. Why doesnt Meta tell us what we did wrong. I do not post any political, religious or other controversial topics. I post some cartoons, photos of classic cars and vacation photos. When I filled out the appeal they said they take "more than a day" to review the appeal and make a decision -that was Nov,22, it is now Dec.20th -how do they measure days? Also, why are we presumed guilty until proven innocent? That is not how the system works in Canada & the USA!!"

"I've used instagram for a very long time and a month ago i got banned for child sexual exploitation which was a shock to me because why would i be banned for that i dont do that stuff? I entered a appeal which was a video face scan which i dont understand what good that would do they then reviewed it took 3 days and sent me an email saying they reviewed it and they are sorry they made the mistake essentially saying i did not do it and they messed up they then enabled my account again now its a month later and last night i got banned again for the same thing this time after putting in an appeal it was instantly declined i have no option to appeal again and they say they are deleting all my information and data it does not let me download my data even though the option is clearly displayed on the page that pops up as well as there is 0 way to contact a real human being about my issue other than these beat around the bush self serve ai articles displayed on their "help center" this is ridiculous"

"I tried to use all my options to still no avail. They gave me no warning or opportunity to appeal this decision. And even when I got to talk to a real customer support member they still said there was nothing they could do and the decision was final and I was not allowed to get my account back after years I spent building on it and making memories too. All for scam and fraud accusations which I have never done and still see others actually committing that violation or worse but still go to keep there accounts on that app. This is unfair and I want Instagram to be held accountable for this until I get my account back."

"Instagram banned me in October for Child sexual exploitation. I had zero posts, nothing of note in my bio, and only followed friends and family. Last thing I did on Instagram was text my friend "Where are you". Took them a week to get back to my appeal just to tell me that my account was gone. Instagram was one of, if not the only way to contact one of my friends who will no longer be attending my high school in February. This means I will unfortunately not be able to contact him. Shame on Meta."

"I was randomly banned on 11/17/25 for allegedly violating community standards on my Instagram account. Now I my Instagram, Facebook, and Facebook Messenger accounts are all disabled. I did a selfie photo for appeal on 11/23/25, and haven't heard back from anyone or reinstated my accounts. I sent another selfie today 12/23 and I sent a message to Meta support from a friend's Facebook account, since I have no access to my own. Luckily, I don't use my accounts for business, otherwise I would've been in deep trouble. However, I have a lot of memories on those accounts. Also, I communicate with friends and family members in far places through those accounts, and it all came to a stop due to this wrongful flag of my account. I think it's ridiculous how many people have been and are currently being affected by this, and Meta still hasn't got their crap together."

Facebook says my account is a t risk for posting a photo of a tshirt that has illegal drug on the shirt. They deleted and are threating to disable my page, currently the have some services I cant use for 30 days. I think their AI is over reacting. I've had my Facebook account since 2007 and Instagram since 2012; nearly 20 years of memories and important connections erased within seconds! [All over a false claim from Meta's faulty AI security measures] Even if I get my accounts reinstated, I fear that many of my messages, pictures, and comments from friends and family are already lost permanently because of Meta. "I didnt violate any terms of Instagram and yet still they said that my account is permanently disabled for being connected to a banned account or something like that. After they said that I couldnt appeal, and its just a cycle where if I create a new account it automatically gets banned. I also cant reach out to instagram and contact them since it doesnt show how to on any of their websites, and using the information that I got from their website, it basically said, " If you have tried to appeal a ban before, and it got denied, you cant appeal again." Which means that I just will not be able to ever use instagram again and just keep getting new devices when it gets banned."
