"I was wrongfully suspended from Instagram for “child sexual exploitation, abuse and nudity.” It’s the most outlandish claim about me I have ever heard. Then I found out it’s happening to other people as well. Appeals don’t work and now they permanently disabled my Facebook account that was linked to it that I had for over 15 years. I have pictures and memories on there that I’ll never get back now because of this. I’m furious, to say the least. I hadn’t even posted anything on either of them in years. I just liked looking back at the pictures and videos I had from back then. I’m half tempted to sue if possible. I can’t even make new accounts because they keep banning them. And of course there is no one can talk to about it. I can only email the AI system that screwed it up in the first place. I go on FB Marketplace and watch IG reels….thats about it. Something needs to happen quickly."

"On christmas 2024 i woke up to find my account disabled. I was not given the chance to appeal. I simply couldn't do anything. I see the header of my account even though IG says I don't have access because its disabled. I've tried contacts all through 2025. I hate the automated program Meta has because i did not violate the community standards. I suspect someone didnt agree with some random comment and like gamers who get doxxed, i must have got bombarded with people reporting me to the extent that my page got wrongfully disabled. i had no bad comments or violating images on my page. It was for modeling and travel. I lost alot of contacts for my business and old friends I have no way to contact. I will keep bothering Meta until they take responsibility."

"Before I add my 2 cents here, be on the lookout for comments claiming "anthonydavies01" can get your facebook account back. It's a scammer!! Had a Facebook account since 2010. Been banned on multiple occasions for absolute ridiculous reasons. Yet Facebook refuses to get rid of scammers, spammers, fake accounts and comments making death threats, not to mention trash racist comments. I once reported nearly 200 accounts for the above reasons. Facebook only took action on THREE of them, and all the 197 others Facebook said they didn't violate community standards. And now Facebook is banning 10's of thousands, if not millions of accounts for absolutely NO reason other than their AI bot doesn't know what the hell it's doing and was programmed brainless tools. How is it possible they could allow this to pass as an AI, one that has control over banning users, is beyond me. They had to of known. Because as what I've read, Mark Zuckerburg doesn't care about his faulty AI deleting millions of users account when they hadn't done anything wrong. He even said that after that report, he would double down on the bans. Like it's a joke to him and he doesn't care about those on his platforms. Meta makes BILLIONS monthly. They could easily afford to hire actual people for user support and it wouldn't even make a dent in his finances. But of course he won't. Zuckerburg is a poor excuse of a human being. I pretty much have about had it with Facebook/Meta and any service or product they are associated with. I don't want anything to do with their Meta Quest and I also advise you to avoid it. If your account is linked to it and Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp etc ban you, you will permanently lose access to ALL of your Quest games. Meta doesn't care if you did nothing wrong or lost $$thousands$$ in games. Just like Facebook, you will lose it all and there won't be anything you can do. I rarely ever use my Facebook anymore. I just now downloaded my data from my entire 15+ years there. I would highly suggest you do the same. It contains all of your photos, posts, comments etc. I did it just in case Facebook decides to pull a fast one on me. I don't trust Meta/Facebook one bit. That company has become too corrupt. Just look at all the lawsuits going on against them. There are new lawsuits, massive ones filed multiple times a year. You can't even get any resolutions on the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Facebook used to resolve issues there for years. But as of about 3 or so years ago, Facebook stopped responding completely. There are now THOUSANDS of complaints with ZERO responses. That there tells you how much they "care" now. Check out r/facebookdisabledme on Reddit for MANY more reports just like these here. It's nonstop. You can also find TONS more at r/facebook. It's high time Meta starts paying BIGTIME for all the garbage they keep pulling!"

"Having been on Facebook since it's inception. I was randomly banned 4 days ago with no warning. Just said I violated community standards and no other details. The appeal was denied almost immediately, maybe 2-5 minutes tops. I had a page that match my YouTube creator account where I posed engineering projects that match and I interacted with, gone. this affects channel views and engagement. Years of family and friends memories now gone and no real understanding of why. Pictures of my dog that has passed are also gone with all the memories we shared together. I was in the middle of selling a dirt bike and truck on Marketplace, I no longer have contact with them to complete the sale, was expecting almost $20k to come in from this that i needed. I used messenger to keep in touch with friends from overseas. now I can't, don't have any other forms of contact with. them. I feel alienated from everyone else with no due regard. I'm also frustrated since Meta enjoys 302 protection as a platform and not a publisher, but they are acting a publisher while enjoying 302 protections."

I use my account primarily for school (college), and interacting with people who have disabilities, whom I can learn from. I started getting into sports cause of it. "I was suspended on Instagram for “Child sexual exploitation, abuse, and nudity” by their AI moderation system. It was absolutely disgusting to even think that I would be framed for such a thing. I originally downloaded Instagram just to keep up with my school’s events. Not to mention, the last picture I posted was of me leaving the hospital, and it didn’t even have my face in it. How could that be violating any rules? Once I submitted an appeal, they suspended me again for the same reason less than a day after I got my account back. I doubt a real person even looked at the appeal I had sent them."

"I had both my Facebook and Instagram permanently banned during the summer and it scared me to death. I appealed and got no where and like many was given no actual evidence or examples of my violations and of course had no interactions with a human customer service representative. I've lost contact to people in my life both personally and professionally. This is the problem with putting AI in charge. They rely on algorithm and many times they interpret those algorithms incorrectly. I was repeatedly suspended for telling FRIENDS they looked pretty or other compliments with Meta accusing me of violating their bullying/harassment policies. These were friends that posted style pictures who wanted advice and opinions. But the AI does not see that. Meanwhile other posters but up very EXPLICIT content with very vulgar comments and they were left alone. The AI is very flawed and Meta NEEDS human interactions to verify when something is reported like this to ensure people are not being falsely banned. ESPECIALLY with such extreme accusations that could have very dire legal consequences. All cases that were banned should be immediately reviewed case by case by a human dept. And reinstated fully once these bans have been proven false"

"I have had my Facebook account for 16 years. I rarely post anything, but this account holds years of private conversations, meaningful exchanges, trusted contacts, photos, and personal data built over a lifetime. My account was hacked and taken over by a third party. Without my knowledge, it was used to publish illegal and harmful content, which led to its permanent deletion. Despite being the victim and providing explanations and evidence, my appeals were denied. I lost access to irreplaceable memories and important personal and professional connections for something I did not do. This petition asks for compassion, fairness, and real human review so that victims of account takeovers are not punished instead of those responsible."

"I have been a Facebook user since 2009 and never once had any issues. I don't post anything political or related to hate speech, bullying, cursing, or anything that a rational reasonable human would think would violate Facebooks standards. Suddenly one night at 3:59 AM while I am sleeping I get an email from META that my account is suspended because some of my posts or comments don't follow their community standards. There is no explanation as to what specifically violated their standards and the only option I have is to appeal their decision. While waiting to hear back from the appeal, my account is still blocked and all it tells me is I requested a review. There isn't even a way to ask for clarification on why it was suspended and no one from Facebook or META reaches out to me. Then 2 days later after appealing, I get a notification that my appeal was denied and I cant request another review of the decision again, and my account is disabled. This is very frustrating and upsetting because there is no customer support and no way to reach out to a live person for help. Everything is controlled by AI from initial account suspension to appeal review to final account disabling. Even the HELP section on Facebook just keeps looping me in circles that don't help with my situation. There is no way to retrieve anything I have put on facebook and the option to download my information does not show the actual issue or show anything like photos or anything I have posted over the years. Everything for the last 18 years is just gone, wiped away. Friend connections, photos, marketplace listings, messenger conversations, groups I follow, I am blocked from accessing all of it. This is no way to treat people especially people who are honest users who have been using the platform for years. META is a very large business and should work to correct this and restore peoples accounts who were treated this way and wrongly punished."

"I created a local history group with over 27,000 members, of which I was the sole administrator. I was also the main administrator of another related group with over 5,000 members. More than 10 years of unpaid work, research, and sharing, without a single advertisement, offensive content, or indecent post. Then, suddenly, I was banned under a false pretext: posting too much advertising! I immediately appealed, and I'm blocked. All my posts are no longer accessible to the members of my groups (the very reason for their existence). I tried unsuccessfully to contact Facebook staff, but received no response or acknowledgment. My groups are surviving somewhat thanks to other members' contributions, but are gradually declining. This sudden ban has prevented me from recovering my original comments and contributions, and I feel greatly wronged. Facebook still hasn't ruled on my appeal against the ban, and in my opinion, won't do so anytime soon, knowing full well that if they did, they would be liable for damages. My only option: legal action."

"I have never used Facebook because frankly i don't care to use it not at all. But just recently around 2 or so months ago i decided to get into threads. And Instagram because why not. People were being monetized over there and it seemed like a better twitter. So i started one account with a niche on manifestation. Time goes by. My account is suspended because they want to verify I'm a human. Fast forward to last night i am asked in a span of 2 hours to verify i am not a bot twice. The first time was at 9 the second time was at 11. And today. January 17 2026 i wake up to find out thaf my account has been disabled. For "breaking the guidelines." Keep in mind all i did on that account was make posts based around manifestation, alignment, peace, self love etc. I never said anything that could be considered harmless or hurtful or anything that would be considered remotely hurtful without question. And all i get is a pop up on my screen that says i violated the guidelines. It doesn't say what specific guideline just that i violated the guidelines. Crazy how that works."

"In December 2025 my FB account(had since 2008) was randomly suspended without any specific explanation. They said you can click here to appeal. I did and received a response saying appeal denied, your account is permanently deleted. How can I appeal when I have no idea what I'm appealing? I really have no idea what happened. I had not posted anything in weeks. I no longer have access to posts from my daughter's entire childhood, my deceased dog's memories, and I've lost touch with hundreds of people. I’m appalled to be accused of such an awful thing and absolutely FURIOUS there is no REAL customer service support to fix this issue. I’ve emailed Instagram numerous times and demand this entire issue be resolved for everyone impacted by their awful AI use. I’ve luckily been able to submit an appeal but with the level of intensity this violation is according to Instagram policy I’m nervous I won’t get my account back. "Having been with Facebook since 2006 I have never had any issues with the platform. Fast forward to 2025, a year after I put my teen child onto my account so I can monitor what he is doing has now permanently disabled all of our accounts. All my international communication with family, friends, and colleagues gone and my son's social media representing him in his sports and future career goals for recruiters. The new AI tracking is not accurate and trying to get to a person to review the mistake is impossible. I hope Meta will figure out how to properly build an AI system where they can weed out those who are truly inappropriate and let those who are innocent continue to live their lives."

"I had my Facebook account, which I created back in August 2008, get permanently disabled for falsely accusing me of sexualization of children, when I have not done any wrongdoing. I appealed for it and got denied automatically without any real explanation at all. Now I am unable to contact my family and friends at all, and all of the pictures and memories I've made over 17 years are all gone. It also affected my Instagram and Threads accounts. Meta using AI to automate bans innocent people without any real proof is a very wrong thing to do, and you let it destroy these people's lives and memories they have worked on over the years."

"Have had a business page for IG for almost a decade. It has sentimental memories archived from humble beginnings to where it stood before being wrongfully disabled for potential harm to others. I have stayed within guidelines and adapted to updated rules and was wrongfully penalized and permanently disabled at 23k and growing. It has caused decrease in sales and previous traction that was organically building and being wrongfully accused of something that took a whole two minutes to review fot potential appeal is not okay especially with no receipts to back up false claims and relying on uncoordinated ai to “scan” for these false accusations. Cant imagine how many others have a similar scenario for their personal and business pages."

"Suspended a year ago for allegedly counterfeit items that I checked over, looked at stitching, etc., that were not counterfeit. Erased items once they brought it up. Did everything I could to stay in the good graces and I’ve been suspended for almost a year that all the short term hacks that you see online to try to get back on nothing‘s worked. Had to move to eBay Poshmark, etc., at significant cost."

My account was disabled for using 'Amanda Marie'—my legal names—simply because I didn't want my full identity public for safety reasons. Meta’s notorious lack of human customer support means there is no one to listen to my explanation. There are no live agents to call, no support emails that aren't automated, and no way to prove I am a real person trying to stay safe. I am struggling with a legitimate addiction to this platform and the anxiety of being suddenly cut off from my entire support network. Meta's 'Community Standards' are being enforced by machines that don't understand context, and the impact on mental health is catastrophic. "I tried making a new Facebook account for content creation 3 times. It instantly permanently banned all three account. I tried appealing each time to no avail. Each time it said I violated community standards, which is impossible. I hadn't even uploaded anything to violate the community standards. I hadn't even made it past the account set up. Each time I would go to verify my email it would send me the verification code and when I would enter it, it wouldn't work. When I would go back to my email (I had to make new emails each time as well) there would be an email stating I violated community standards, my account has been suspended, and asked me to appeal. Again, I appealed every time and did the verification process. Each time I was asked to record a video of myself, which I did. I would wait for the appeal to complete before trying to make another account. Within an hour I'd get another email saying my account has been permanently banned for violating community standards. That's impossible. I hadn't even logged into the account for the first time or posted a single thing. I also used my real name when signing up. So it's not like I used some crazy fake name. This is outrageous on Facebooks part. They say we are allowed and welcome to make content creation personal profiles and/or pages, yet it's impossible. They make a lot of money from content creators so I don't understand why they are making it impossible for me to make a profile which I intend to turn into a page. This really sucks. I am at a loss on what to do or how to fix this or get another the bot auto rejecting my accounts, which appears to be sent to another bot (so not human verified) who also instantly rejects it."

I made an appeal and later the next day it says none of my accounts exist anymore. I have spent a surplus amount of money on virtual reality games just for META to screw me over nothing."

"I had my instagram account for year, since around 2016. Recently my Instagram account was suspended and my appeal was automatically discarded by an AI system within minutes of me submitting it. I've lost my main form of communication with multiple friends I've met throughout the years, including some who I only had regular contact with via Instagram. I've lost access to multiple priceless memories, even though I haven't violated any Instagram policies. It feels almost targeted against me since I've voiced my displeasure with AI as a whole, which Meta has been steadily trying to push forward. It feels targeted because I often make comments on political discourse. I hate these automated systems where you are fighting endlessly against a computer that is programmed to automatically deny any appeals. Oh you appealed and our "expert trust and safety team" determined that you are still in violation of our policies in less than 30 seconds. That isn't a diligent and thorough review. That is negligence and laziness to save Meta a couple hundred thousand in wages for actual human trust and safety members. Hold Meta accountable. Hold Twitter accountable."

"I was wrongfully suspended from my Facebook and Instagram that I’ve had my account for over 15 years. All of my photos including ones from early childhood on my page, aswell as over 50 friends that that was the only place we chatted and had each others contact info. I now have no way of contacting them at all, or telling them why my profile disappeared or how to contact me. Friends who live 1,000 miles away on the other side of the USA. I’m devastated, frustrated and heartbroken."

"I was injured in a motorcycle accident last November 2025. My account was disabled the second I posted an explanation why some hard tire compounds get dangerously slippy on dry pavement. The explanation came in part from a ChatGPT analysis which included links as references. I was not trying to sell anything. There were no apparent reason for disabling my account. It's been over two months now and nothing. I tried to contact FB via the Privacy Claims and PIDEDA Acts to get an explanation of why my account was disabled and how did they used my personal information in the process. Privacy department discarded my request saying they don't deal with account suspension. Although there is a legal ground to argue about the use of AI to process content and personal data."
