"They got rid of my account that I had since my daughter and son were babies. They did not give me an explanation of why it was deleted. I tried to do an appeal. That’s not working. They even linked my accounts with my husbands. Don’t even know how that happened. All my memories of my mother my kids whenever they were younger are now all gone. I even emailed them. They still have not returned any of my emails. It’s just ridiculous on what’s going on. I’m a mother and a wife and it said it took my account away for suspicious activity, but they’re not giving why."

"Oh yeah I got banned for posting aviation content and for my anti-ICE posts which is pure censorship since Meta is probably funding big daddy Trump’s ballroom. I was banned off instagram falsely, the appeal was done in like 1 minute and they denied it. Yet no one explained how I actually violated the guidelines. They must be held accountable because unclear termination of accounts will lead to consequences. Especially when they false ban those who are simply expressing first amendment rights and that is definitely not Child (whatever) the ban reason people have been receiving. My voice was silenced and that’s censorship. Period."

"I have been on Facebook since the beginning, then instagram then threads. Have built up a community of friends and likeminded people, followed and interacted with many authors and influencers. All of a sudden my account was disabled with heinous and erroneous accusations. Lost my appeal. I have no recourse to even see what that feel went against community standards. I have lost so many pictures of my child growing up and friends and family that are not longer with us. There’s no way to get any of that back and there’s no one to contact to help."

"I am a small businesses, operating under the name Cam Productions. I used Instagram to share my work and learn new tips and trick. It was quite literally my portfolio and main source of finding clients and today while uploading photos from Italy the account was disabled stating sexual exploitation of a minor which is a pretty serious offense and goes against everything my business stand for. I find it funny that my personal account it totally fine because I pay to be meta verified. Which leaves me to believe that meta doesn't care unless you pay them."

"Facebook sent a message that my account was hacked, then permanently deleted it saying I violated their guidelines. There is no fix while they know spammers and hackers are a problem. Since its most of their revenue they allow it. I would love to have a way to contact them and get that Zuckerberg in front of me. "After nearly 20 years of use, Meta randomly disabled my account today, with no means of appeal or explanation. I cannot even find a way to flag this clear mistake with their support team. To make matters worse, not only do I lose access to Facebook, but I've lost access to Messenger. I did not knowingly violate their terms of service or community standards, and even if I did, there should be a way to review this and appeal."

"I lost access to over 10 Instagram pages, my Facebook profile, and a Facebook page I had for over 18 years due to Meta’s enforcement system. These accounts were in completely different niches, so this was not a single account issue. It affected multiple brands, platforms, and years of work. A single enforcement action ended up impacting all connected accounts and assets. This shows how damaging cross enforcement can be when it is applied without transparency or proper review. There was no clear explanation, no meaningful appeal process, and no way to reach a real person for support. Even after contacting support and using Meta Verified, I was unable to get any real assistance or resolution. I was also not provided with a complete data download, which means I lost access to years of personal memories, content, and history with no proper recovery option. I lost access to business assets, audiences, and content across multiple platforms instantly. This is not just an inconvenience. It has real business and financial impact. There needs to be transparency, human review, a fair appeals process, and proper data access before accounts are permanently disabled and entire ecosystems are removed."

"Had my instagram account for over 10 years and was falsely banned for “CSE” community standard violations, even though my only post on that account was a group of photos from a vacation. I would and have never interacted with anything even close pertaining to child exploitation and frankly it just felt disgusting seeing that email as to why my account was disabled. I even tried purchasing the Meta verified subscription to actually talk to a real person, just for them to say they can’t do anything. It’s incredibly frustrating to just have my account removed like that, cutting off communication with my friends and family. Please either fix or remove your crappy AI moderation Meta"

"Made a Threads account that was linked to my Instagram account directly. I've the account for about a month or so, until suddenly; after I made a few casual posts (good mornings, motivational and just random thoughts), I was sudden hit with an unprovoked ban. Here's the kicker in all this. At the time of the ban, it was March 15th. However, the notice stated that it was affective on the March 16th? Like, did it predict I was going to be banned? I try to appeal with no avail. Reasoning? Fake profile. I'm sorry? How is my account fake when it's connected directly to my unaffected Instagram account? How is Meta all for Bullying Prevention, yet bullying its own users?? I need answers.."

"Instagram was my way of communicating. As an upcoming college student, I made vital connections through Instagram and other Meta Social platforms. When I was banned abruptly on a random Tuesday in June of 2025 and my account was disabled right after, I knew something was wrong but was not sure. I have a future that became more possible to me because of the people I meant on Instagram so losing the app really hurt me. No one deserves this to happen to them. We need a human review. With AI taking over, everything becomes “efficient” yet so flawed. AI cannot replace human feeling and sympathy. Human understanding. I ask for our accounts back as that was an unfair and unjust action done by Meta that has to be reversed."

"I've had my Facebook account since 2011 and in January of this year at the end of the mont, my account states that it was suspended for child exploitation and they won't allow me to reach out to anyone. Unfortunately after sending an appeal for this allegation which I am not guilty of, it stated that my Facebook account would be permanently disabled. I use my account mainly to chat with my friends and just to share my love and support for them. Now I can't do that. I hope my account will be able to come back soon, as this is my main communication between friends and family I love. I hope it won't be gone permanently because of false allegations"

"My Instagram account with 76K followers was permanently disabled for “violating community guidelines.” I did absolutely nothing wrong. I appealed when my account was suspended in June 2025 and recovered my account. Purchased Meta Verified so I could speak to support if it happened again, which it did. My account was suspended again in October, then November and permanently disabled end of November 2025. I lost years of creativity and community-building. Meta does not care about creators and their work."

"I received an email on Sunday stating that my Facebook account has been suspended because my account, or activity on it, doesn't follow terms of service on who can use Facebook. That email included a link to appeal. However, when I clicked the link, I went to a screen that said my identification was under review. ID that I was not ever given an opportunity to provide. Although the appeal link was included in that initial email, there was no opportunity at any point to see what my violation was, and no opportunity to appeal. Within 2 hours of the initial email, I got an email that said the review had been completed, I was still found to be in violation of the terms of service, and my account was permanently disabled with no further appeal possible. I am struggling to come to terms with the gravity of this random act by Met's crap AI, how impossible it's going to be for me to be in sales with no ability to be present on social media. This is devastating."

"My account has been falsely banned multiple times. Previously I’ve gotten it back in less than a month, but as of today (March 23rd 2026) I’ve been on the appeal waitlist since January 27th 2025. The appeal says it should take a little over a day but it’s been months now. I don’t know what to do but there needs to be some accountability and action in this. "I was sent a notice of account suspension out of the blue, with a link to appeal. Which do not work, but a message appeared saying my identity was under review. 2 hours later notice of permanent disablement. I did nothing out of the order, did. It post, share or engage in any way that would violate their rules. 2 decades simply cancelled with no recourse. The impact on my livelihood is hard to estimate but it is truly significant, nevermind my sense of connectedness in my community. I feel a sense of loss that’s hard to describe, and am in a panic about the impact this will have on my ability to earn a living. For all the injustice in the world, this is one I’d never contemplated until it happened to me."

"I never broke Facebook's terms of service in the 16 years I have had my account. But I was banned anyway. Someone hacked my account and Facebook sent me an email saying so and gave me the chance to change my password. But my account was banned and I was NOT given ANY chance to appeal even though FB said they reviewed my appeal!! It makes no sense. FB knew I was hacked and banned me anyway, instead of just blocking the hacker. I used FB to connect with family, friends, potential clients for my business (I have found clients on FB), and political advocacy groups. Losing access is devastating. I did nothing wrong and my FB of 16 years was suddenly taken away from me. The reason for the ban was that I was accused of breaking the rules about who can use Facebook. I am an American with no criminal record and I was an adult when I created my account. I am eligible to use Facebook. So why did I get punished?!"

"My IG account was hacked over 2 years ago. The hacker changed the email and password for my account and the only directions on their support pages were tied to receiving an email to recover my account, or to provide your password, etc. ALL solutions that did not work in my situation. My account is still out there with my pictures….. the hacker having access to all my personal pictures, memories , and messages. The hacker was messaging all my friends asking for money. "I created instagram to promote my own independent music media platform. After about 2 years of Instagram being my primary platform outside of our website we got a sudden suspension. We hadn't posted anything in over a week when the suspension happened. Contacts with musicians, content, networking, collaborations with friends are all now lost. The appeal process is completely ineffective. It states that reviews take a day or so, but after 180 days the account and content are gone forever with no response or update from the appeal process. I think what is very insulting is that there are active accounts impersonating people, harassing people, and "models" promoting their "paid content" but they don't have the issue that the vast majority of people signing this petition have. Their accounts are perfectly fine. I have had accounts DM me saying hateful anti- lgbtq slurs about a friend of mine who is a content creator and when I reported them I was basically told that the person had done nothing wrong. My account on the other hand, suspended and now permanently disabled for posting concerts."

"I've had instagram for years now and was falsely accused for making a joke with my own niece due to their own broken Ai flagging system. I tried verifying my Facebook to reach a support agent. 3 agents later and not only could they NOT help me, they refused to tell me what exactly triggered the accusation, threatened my partner with consequences against his account if he continued to help on my behlaf, and wouldn't help me regain access with changing my password to even make a second appeal. Years of memories and photos gone. Ways of reaching my art clients, gone. And the worst part is, you can't even make a new account with how their Ai flagging system works. Once you're falsely accused you're IP banned for life without empathetic human customer support to help you."

"I have had a Facebook and Instagram account since the day they entered the social space. I was banned randomly a few days ago and appealed, just to be denied. It very sad how this is managed and that there is no way to talk to any real support agents. I really wish someone would take responsibility over at Meta. I have submitted a large document to the Attorney General about wrongful accusations and banning of accounts. I urge everyone to do this now. Facebook has been awarded to pay out $375m for misleading users over child safety, maybe this "false banning" topic will be next."

"Facebook member for over 20 years. I was randomly banned on Instagram 2 weeks ago and the appeal was automatically reviewed by the same broken AI process that resulted in the ban. This suspended my linked Facebook account. No details, no access to support, no ability to recover data, no procedural fairness. Years of family and friends memories now gone and no real understanding of why. It has lost me a primary communication tool for my kids school and social sport teams. The loss of Messenger Kids accounts for my kids to stay connected. Finally I paid to be verified and the staff still could not help me. "on March 27, my account disabled, I was told to click a link to appeal, but the link did not send me to a place to appeal, I was told to click a link to download my info, but it only had my personal info, and NONE of the communications or contacts (business or personal) included which I built up over the years, facebook said I had 30 days to appeal, and yet there's no way for me to do this -- in fact the two places where appeal is mentioned has a missing webpage and the "have you been hacked" link claims I never had an account. Finally, there was no email as the help center stated would accompany a disabling, and in no piece of information shared with me was I told what I did wrong, if I did anything wrong. Apparently thousands were hit on March 27th, 2026, and what stings even more, after losing everything I built up for nearly 2 decades, it was 1 week after my birthday."

"I've had FB since 2007. Only ever used it for sharing pics with friends and family - mainly my dogs, walks and nature. Many of my friends from years back are on it, and I was part of a large community of people I'd known personally and shared much of my life with for decades. I also regularly took part in groups I was interested in, none of which were against any community guidelines. I didn't advertise, never took part in anything contentious, political, or ever posted rudely or abusively. All of a sudden in Feb 26 I got suspended after posting a video of me playing with my granddaughter - which I had done many times before - I then got asked to do a video selfie after which I was permanently disabled, allegedly for 'account integrity and violating community guidelines'. I was all of a sudden cut off without warning from everyone and everything I'd been a part of for so long - it was actually like a bereavement! I managed to get Meta Verified which basically paid me lip service and had no intention of helping me regain my account. No-one ever explained to me exactly what I was supposed to have done. It makes you feel isolated and excluded, when you have done nothing whatsoever to deserve it - and no person you can appeal to who will take your issue seriously."

"i was randomly banned on instagram for CSE last month, i didn’t even post anything involving a child. all i did was send one of my friends a bikini picture because we got the same one but in different colors then next thing you know i got suspended THEN banned. i had no idea my facebook was linked with my instagram then when i got banned on instagram it permanently banned me on facebook and i lost everything on facebook including pictures/videos of my dead grandfather that i most likely won’t get back. i’ve tried countless amount of times to create a new account on instagram and id get in but shortly after getting in, id get suspended, then id do an appeal check, then after the appeal check id have to show my identity then after that id stay on appealed for a bit then id check my email thinking id get it back but then my email would tell me my account did not follow their community guidelines. right now - i have no instagram account once so ever, but i did create a new facebook page and i got some stuff back but not all for my facebook page. ive had my instagram account and facebook for awhile since i was a teenager."

I have used fb for years for social contact, and have spent many hours uploading marketplace advertisements to sell things I have finished using. The fb instructions for appeal are absolutely useless, being clearly wrong about an option to login and then appeal. What rot. What an uncaring whimsical inhuman interface to try to communicate with. Meta needs to step up and fix this. Disabling accounts is un-neccessary. The AI can issue a warning, or a suspension for an hour or a day. AI can instantly delete any comments which might contravene community guidelines, before they are seen by recipients. This draconian over-reaction by facebook is absolutely unreasonable when account holders have invested so much time in posting to the site and maintaining social networks."

"My Instagram account was wrongfully disabled for “bypassing enforcement,” even though my account is years old and was not created to bypass any restrictions. I attempted the appeal process and submitted my ID, which was rejected, while the same ID was accepted for my other accounts. I also opened multiple support cases since February 2026 and have not received proper help or a manual review. This is not a fair process, and there needs to be real human support for situations like mine."

"My Facebook account is literally about to be 20 years old. It was connected to a Facebook page and Instagram for my small business. Also my personal Instagram. "I've had my personal Facebook account for almost 18 years. It's the only way I'm able to keep in touch with school mates and extended family. Meta doesn't offer any path towards recovering a lost account, and worse yet denies any reliable consumer service. It also affected a non-profit Instagram page I was in charge of. Meta is doing an incredibly horrible service to everyone with their AI moderating."

"My account was recently banned on 2/13/2026 for CSE and I have a child of my own that I barely ever post. Because my fb account was linked, it disabled that account also. I have lost contact with family members, long distance friends, and even memories of friends who have left this world. Due to this ridiculously false claim I've lost so much and all I want is to get my accounts back. All of them; ig, fb, threads, and messenger. My daughter has a messenger account that I manage and we communicate through it when I'm away working and also her dad's family that's in another state. This has taken a lot away from us."

"FB disabled my account assuming i was under age and asking for me to upload my photo ID. Before I could even check the email being legit, I got another email saying I was permanently disabled. I have a friend that works at META, he submitted a petition for me but hasn't even heard back himself. This feels like a strategy meta is doing to force us to upload our IDs. Somehow I was able to update my PW info for my instagram account that is linked to my FB account. Same meta profile... I've had this FB account for over 20 years."

There needs to be accountability for such a severe accusation and company malpractice. "My account of 20 years is gone because some homophobic straight man didn't like my perfectly innocent childhood photo of me and my grandpa at Christmas time. Just gone, my Facebook, my Instagram. All of those contacts, all of these foreign friends with which I had no other method of contacting. My old posts, my photos of friends and family, all gone. My Instagram was full of picture of art I'd done which I unfortunately have lost copies of. Gone. This is clearly a rampant issue, and it needs to be fixed."

"I've been on Facebook/Meta since high school, quite literally two decades ago. I just got banned from Facebook earlier today for no reason, and had an 'appeal' that was completed so quickly it was obviously just another AI auto-replying a denial. So apparently all of the friends for the past 20 years that I keep in contact with solely through Facebook these days are just gone. No way to get my old photos or people's contact info, no option to try to contact a real person, can't even make a new account since that gets autobanned immediately too. Meanwhile there's dozens of bots commenting on everything that never get banned. It's utterly disgusting how people have been replaced by faulty AI and the people in charge just do not give a single toss about anyone who gets affected."

"I’ve been using Instagram for 10 years. All my memories, family, friends, life updates, everything. A decade of my life has been stripped away from me due to a company error. A technological error. I’ve paid for Meta Verified, spoke with dozens of agents, gone back and forth through email. Both of my accounts got suspended, one of which is permanently disabled now. It says I don’t follow the Community Standards on CSE. I have never, ever, in my life EVER contributed to that. I have never broke *any* of Meta’s Community Guidelines. I’ve lost connection with friends, positions in clubs, and years of pictures and memories. I am devastated. I have done absolutely everything in my power to assist Meta on reinstating my account, but it seems they do not care. I wish we could at least talk to a real support worker, but they cheaped out on that too. Using AI to filter out accounts is heinous when it doesn’t work correctly and has been banning hundreds of thousands of people. At this point, the very least you could do is disable the AI filter until you fix the bug. I would do anything in my power to help get my accounts back but I’ve exhausted every option. I feel hopeless. Something must be done about this."
