I had my instagram account for 11 years and now it’s claiming it’s a fake account. My Facebook was also suspended bc they’re connected but I got it back. I sent the same ID and Instagram didn’t accept it but Fb did.

My Instagram count has been banned upwards of 10 times since October 2026. This was my nost recent account, it had lasted the longest without being banned. I was starting to rebuild my algorithm and store memories - then bam. Banned for violating community guidelines that I have not. The nature of this alleged violation is so severe, I do not understand how they can ban the account, but not involve the police or provide evidence of the violations. Completely insane and ridiculous. I'm just moving to Twitter and TikTok at this point, I cant keep trying to do this. Especially when appeals are ignored until the time frame for recovery expires and your account is lost forever.

In April of this year, both my Facebook and Instagram accounts were suddenly banned and I was not able to appeal. To make matters worse they are accusing me of posting sexual content of children and I have reported me to the national center for missing and exploited children. This is absolutely terrifying and I am beyond upset. What me Tata is doing is not right and they need to get a better system in place where they can focus on flagging Real criminal content, and not thousands of innocent people losing their social media network that they have had access to for years. I have no way to connect or communicate with almost 1000 of my friends on Facebook. I feel so lost and very alone with all of this. I did not deserve this and either does anyone else who did nothing wrong.

Shortly after my Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger accounts got disabled, my mother passed away.
It sure would be useful to inform others of my mother's passing, especially as several of my contacts are only through Facebook/Messenger. But Meta seems heartless and they don't seem to understand that this is an issue easily fixed by restoring them and not disabling accounts without reason.

I am writing with urgency and concern regarding my Instagram accounts “live_like_its_a_vacation” AND “novembersoul1988” which have now BOTH been permanently disabled in the past month for allegedly violating instagrams policies. One stating something about child exposure or exploitation! I was completely BLINDSIDED, and to be honest, SHOCKED by this action. This reflects me personally as a mother and now has me extremely worried about someone retaliating due to these allegations.
I've always made it a priority to follow Instagram's guidelines and have never knowingly violated any policies. This account represents hours of consistent work building a trusted and highly engaged profile. It's not only my creative outlet - it's the ONLY social media I have. I believe this may have been a misunderstanding or a mistake, and I'm respectfully asking for a thorough re-review of my case. If I've unknowingly done something wrong, I would be grateful for the opportunity to understand and correct it. I would also request a HUMAN REVIEW in this matter vs the standard meta review.
Thank you for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon with a positive resolution. This is my last attempt before moving forward with a civil case.

My account was disabled without a clear explanation of what policy I supposedly violated, and I have not been given a fair opportunity for proper human review.
Automated systems can make mistakes, and users should not permanently lose access to their accounts without transparency or accountability. Verified and authentic users especially deserve accurate review before serious action is taken.

I’m asking for your help.
It’s 4 a.m., and I can’t stop thinking about my account—the one I deactivated last month. I’ve been trying to log back in, but I’m stuck in a loop because of a technical glitch. The agents keeps telling me to recover it on my end… but that’s exactly the problem—I can’t.
If you can, please shake your phone and copy-paste this:
“Hello, what happened to @iconicgirlnicole ’s Instagram? She’s been stuck in a recovery loop. Please check.”
This isn’t just some random account. It’s years of my life—photos, memories, moments I can’t get back. I’ve had it since 2012, way before all these AI systems and automated restrictions came in, you posted pics years ago before a whole new set T&Cs — and some of the people just got locked out all of a sudden. Do they intentionally do this, for people to subscribe to Meta Verified for customer support, that is also not helping?
And if you can’t help boost it, then at least tell us what you think because this has been happening to so many people lately. Ever since these AI restrictions rolled out, accounts, photos… everything just disappears or gets locked.
It doesn’t feel right.

My ability to connect with many of my friends on Instagram was Insta-slashed back in October of 2025. I was banned after doing the right thing: warning a good friend in DMs about a scam account that was following him.
My ban was instantaneous, and permanent, with there being no customer support to communicate with regarding the issue. In other words, I, like many others, was treated as completely disposable in the name of scaled technological convenience.
Ever since, I have not bothered to use Instagram, for fear that this could easily happen again, especially considering how easily people have been banned over even less. Upon future bans, I could once again lose over 5 years of personal data, messages, and connections, while being completely ignored as a fellow human being.
Big tech has gone too far, with far too little oversight or regulation of their business. Like with many other aspects of our lives, it is time to end our complacence, and to join the fight for the bettering of society. And this movement is just one of many.

I got home after a long day from working and when I woke up, I found my Facebook was disabled. It stated that I violated their community guidelines towards minor which I immediately appealed because I only use my Facebook to talk to me family and co-workers and browse posts that comes up on my news feed. I've had my Facebook account since 2010. Not even 10 minutes after clicking the appeal button, it immediately rejected my appeal. It didn't ask me for any additional information or further verification on my end. There was no explanation on what was on my account that triggered it either since I don't post or share anything. I even paid to be Meta Verified so that I can get access to a chat support and it was not helpful either. They kept saying that their automated system's decision was final however the automated system is the one that falsely and incorrectly flagged my account. I need a proper investigation and review from a human. Not from the automated system that is completely flawed and unmoderated. All my photos and memories from family and friends are now lost until my Facebook account is re-enabled again. The worst part is that they won't even know what happened to me because Facebook was our main form communication.

My Story:
I have been using Facebook since 2007. For almost 20 years, it has been my digital diary. I used it to save all my precious family memories, especially stories about raising my two children and welcoming my niece from the US into our home. Over the years, many people told me that my posts inspired them and gave them positive, practical ideas for parenting.
Besides being my family diary, Facebook is very valuable to me because I love to travel. I have visited many different countries, and Facebook is the only way I can stay in touch with the friends I made all over the world. If I lose this account, I lose my only connection to them.
Recently, Facebook completely disabled my account out of nowhere. The system accused me of violating child safety policies. This is completely wrong and very hurtful. I am a mother, and I have never posted anything bad. Like many other parents, I think the automated system made a mistake and misunderstood innocent photos of my family.
When I clicked to appeal, the system rejected it automatically in just a few minutes. No real human ever checked my photos or listened to my side. Now, Facebook is threatening to delete all my 19 years of memories permanently within 180 days.
I am joining this petition because we need real people, not just computer bots, to review these cases. Meta should not be allowed to wipe out a person's life memories and global friendships by mistake without even letting a human look at the problem.

My Instagram account was wrongfully disabled twice under the same enforcement category. Meta reinstated it the first time with a written acknowledgment that their automated system made an error. The second time, despite multiple support agents confirming no active violations on my account, I was told the decision was final. I had to purchase a paid subscription just to access human support, only to be dismissed anyway. This is automation without accountability.

I just got banned by the AI thinking the anime groups I am in is inappropriate, that it was child exploitation! All characters posted were 18+ & had no nudity! The AI wrongly disagreed with my appeal and permanently banned my account! Don’t let the AI do a human’s job to review something like this! My account of 16 years was randomly flagged for allegedly violating child exploitation guidelines, but the account had not been used recently nor did the account ever come across such a thing. I immediately appealed and submitted the request just to be denied by the same AI that falsely flagged it to begin with. I lost total access to all of my meta media's and lost all of my photos from some of my most significant accomplishments. All due to a false flag and was never told what actually caused it. Where's the proof meta? False flagging something so terrible as exploitation is not a good look and it truly sucks being the one affected by it.

My name is Palina. I really need your help. My Instagram account @cottonyevil was suddenly disabled, and I am devastated. I have had this account for five years. It is my portfolio, my work, my memories, and a big part of my life.
I did not break any rules. I did not post anything harmful. I believe this was a mistake or an automated action.
I tried everything: the app does not show any “Help with logging in” button, and none of the appeal forms appear for me. I feel completely stuck and powerless. This account means a lot to me both personally and professionally.
This profile is also my artistic identity — the name under which I publish my creative projects and photography work. It represents my portfolio, my artistic voice, and the professional image I have built over the years. Losing access means losing the platform where I share my work, collaborate, and grow as an artist.

I had my private 20-year-old Facebook account, private 10-year-old Instagram business account, and 3 year old private family account all falsely banned and closed for “account integrity”. Zero customer service, phone number, or email, only an AI Chatbot who says you have to pay them to talk to a person, which sounds a whole lot like extortion. There are thousands and thousands of us on Reddit commenting about getting banned by Meta every day, my entire two decades of business - client and community connections, advertising, was linked to those accounts. Their site even says “grow your business with Instagram” and then they burn it down without warning.

My Facebook account was permanently disabled on Jan 27, 2026, following a request of video ID verification, and although I dutifully complied all my attempts to find what violation exactly triggered this measure were unsuccessful. I had this account for almost 20 years and as a severely disabled person I relied deeply on the platform for therapeutic purposes (connection with my support groups and personal support network). The loss of those connections has profoundly impacted my life, with very harmful effects on my physical and psychological well-being.

On September 12th 2025 he appeared on national Canadian TV news which ran a news story on Meta and how it had affected his personal life and his photography business and his reputation for totally fictitious accusations. This is quite disturbing and disheartening. At this point, this issue goes beyond a single disabled account. New accounts I create are also being restricted shortly after creation, even without activity. I have now tested this across multiple devices and accounts, and I am struggling to understand what is triggering these actions.
I am not a spammer, scammer, or bot. I am a medical doctor, and I use Instagram in a completely normal way primarily to share photos and connect with people. I do not engage in harmful activity, automation, impersonation, or guideline violations.

I have signed up on Facebook in 2010 with my musician name. Never have I been told to use my real name. And so I did just that for 14 years, before my never used ad account got breached, and after adding 2FA and changing the password, I get locked out. And I have been for over a year. Why? Because there is no customer support (even though it would take a human to confirm my identity in two minutes by checking an official YouTube upload of my song, then my ID card, see the names match, as well as my date of birth...), and the real-name policy is stupid. Use a name people call you by, they say. I do just that. And yet, we cannot confirm your identity, please use a different ID, and zero help on giving access to my data and my account back to me.
